Macadamia nuts are rich, flavorful nuts native to the continent of Australia. It got its name from a scots chemist, John Macadam in 1858. Macadamia nuts were introduced to Sri Lanka in 1868 and to Hawaii in the 1890 where they are still produced nowadays. Malawi and South Africa have also lately become large producers of Macadamia nuts. Macadamia nuts are rich in calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and Vitamin E.
